Blog post #8-Ch #11

This part of this journal entry goes into ways to think about writing. The writing teaching should be taught from a very diverse point of view. The entries should be discussed and broken down on what is important to the teacher and student.  Teacher will have to educate students what we will be thinking about, thinking of multiple words, and ways to say different things. The person and writing process starts with snack habits that will begin each and everyday. The writing could be useful with our eyes, earns, and our mouth. The future and past will be mindful during the writing process.  The teacher should be training students to speak and write by the best authors they read alike. The world notices how we write and express  ourselves.  Be open and mindful on which taxis will work for students and how this will help us move into a positive direction.  To conclude, as you teach writing. The writing skills will produce and show results on a regular basi...

The importance of being a teacher- writer

Teachers need to writing and practice in he or she own time. The teachers development needs to be top priority to better enhance and grow more together. If teachers want to be able to teach, train, and educate our students.       Writing is a basic and fundamental skill that will matter for students to prosper and grow long-term. The students who will practice will improve and grow. If the teacher wants to teach and improve students. The process to help students with the overachieving and exceeding expectations. Begings with setting time in class each and everyday.      I am also in love with how SLICE puts focus on personal development and why it is so important to ensure the lessons will be learned inside and outside of the classroom.     My final thoughts are these writing habits will develop critical thinking. For positive decisions that will be made inside and outside the classroom. In addition, to transferable skill...

Book, Head, and Heart strategy.

First preview of the book. I questioned if I would enjoy reading the book because of the pictures and how it referred to middle school life. My head started the questioning process on what could be happening. As I began to read and my heart and love for the book began to grow and grow. My heart strings pulled as the main character went and experienced trails and tribulations.       I learned immediately that I personally have some biases and opinions I make about things. First thing I notice was  I loved reading the book. The character development grew and developed into a positive direction. It hit my senses immediately to remain open and optimist for progression.       The first thing I would do with my students would be to have material focused on their age range. I also will gives trick/methods for books to be reviewed. Also, ways we can read together alone and those when we read out-loud. The reading out loud w...

"Reading As Thinking Questions!"

How do you see what you read, in your mind's eye? Reading opens your mind. Reading creates a movie inside of your brain that allows thoughts to flow. The first book I read that opened my mind to a entire new way of thinking. Was the "Lord Of The Rings," I must admit at first I assumed I would hate the book or whatever I was reading. However, as I continue to read. The book was so refreshing and it opened up a brand new perspective. Reading opens the minds to worlds we did not know existed. How do you respond to confusion or difficulty? I seek clarity first by asking multiple questions. My first step is to ask questions and gain as much information as possible before. I make a decision; this allows me to ensure that all of the information allows me to hear from multiple perspective. I must admit when I get difficulty I tend to lean in and address it to get the difficulty resolved. What kinds of feelings are often generated as you read? I do have opinions and thoughts on w...

Questions to live by!- Dr. Giles

 1. What could you read if you wanted a real challenge something you could understand, but, that would you work?      Science, History, or Non-fiction challenges my  perspective. The first reason is it requires you to learn something that may seem unusual or not common information. For example, I am currently reading, "Orders to Kill." This book breaks down the Martin Luther King Jr Assassination and how he was assigned killings three years before his actual death. This book was transformational and the information was new and very throughly detailed. Changing my mentally and emotionally. 2. Who knows what you're reading right now? Who do you sometimes think about telling about your books? Who gives you recommendations? Whose reading do you wonder about?     I am currently reading, "The Highly Sensitive Person," this book details on how we all are very different on emotional levels. It breaks down how this goes into play as children. I tell my books to...

Slice of Life Story Challenge, Blog post #3

The "Slice Challenge," supports teachers and challenges educators to write on a daily basis. This challenge encourages teachers to work on a daily basis and practice to refine he or she skills to see steady improve. The writing should be kept in a log or a journal. The writing should be done daily to ensure that the writing is free-flowing. This website is promoting us to get back to those communication skills in which our current society does not do if any compared to our past generation.      The fourteenth annual slice story requires us to put apart time to free-write ideas. The ideas can be small or large, but, we want to get the stories and ideas across. The ideas can be added with videos, photos, and other images. The story can be large and small and how we can want to spread the information. What matters is speaking truthfully and honest. The fourteen annual new mission, March first of 2021.      I learned what the "Slice Ch...

Life experiences of reading! Blog post #2 (5352)

My experiences during my six through twelve years in school. My experiences are negative; based off of the material being pushed and forced upon me. I never felt like any books, stories, or information seem meaningful towards me. As I look back I never noticed how much that had an affect on me and my potential learning style.     The first book I read and opened me up mentally was "The Autobiography Of Malcom X," this book was giving to me. By a  principal name Mr. Harris (My mentor) who pushed reading on me. He stressed that books are the gateway to learning and understanding. The two people who have had the most positive impact are Mr. Harris and Mr. Nicolas. The positive things these two educators did was challenge me to read and challenge me to do better. I personally never had anyone stress the value of education on me. My mindset at the time was sports and going D1. I never had someone stress academics or even mention to me why it is so im...
