Book, Head, and Heart strategy.

First preview of the book. I questioned if I would enjoy reading the book because of the pictures and how it referred to middle school life. My head started the questioning process on what could be happening. As I began to read and my heart and love for the book began to grow and grow. My heart strings pulled as the main character went and experienced trails and tribulations.

I learned immediately that I personally have some biases and opinions I make about things. First thing I notice was  I loved reading the book. The character development grew and developed into a positive direction. It hit my senses immediately to remain open and optimist for progression.

The first thing I would do with my students would be to have material focused on their age range. I also will gives trick/methods for books to be reviewed. Also, ways we can read together alone and those when we read out-loud. The reading out loud will build together develops unity in the class and sparks the classroom discussion. Second, we want to set the tone for reading being apart of the classroom. The classroom environment will be centered around establishing a strong reading presences. The strong focus on reading will be focused on inside and outside of the classroom. I want to show my students that "I am inside the fox whole," with my students to show how I am engaged. Third and finally, making reading inside of the classroom is a goal and mindset I want to establish. The reading element is critical to academic and life success.
